Red colobus monkeys are a diverse family with different behaviors, vocalizations, facial expressions, and even coat colors and patterns. The Red Colobus Conservation Network works to support community-based conservation approaches, poaching prevention, forest restoration, and research efforts to prevent the imminent extinction of these charismatic monkeys.

Red colobus is one of the primates that are moving towards extinction if conservation measures are not taken real quick. Especially those in Cameroon (Procolobus preussi) where it is endemic to Korup National Park, the only protected area.
